INTERIOR PHOTOGRAPHY
The Art of the Interior
Documenting the heart of your design.
Every space tells a story of a thousand small, thoughtful choices—the way a morning shadow stretches across a textured wall, or the quiet elegance of a perfectly placed sightline. My goal is simple: to honor the heart you’ve put into your work. I believe in a slow, collaborative process where we prioritize the soul of the design over the speed of the clock. Together, we’ll move beyond simple documentation to create imagery that feels as artful and intentional as the architecture itself.
Step 1: The Initial Spark (Inquiry)
It all starts with a conversation. You reach out with a few details about your project—the location, the overall vibe, and any specific deadlines (like a magazine submission or an upcoming website launch). If you have iPhone "before" photos or a rough floor plan, those are incredibly helpful at this stage.
Step 2: Defining the Narrative (Scoping)
We’ll jump on a quick call or exchange a few emails to determine which session scope best serves your work:
The Feature Session: Best for a focused look at 1–2.5 rooms.
The Portfolio Session: Ideal for telling the "full story" of 3–4 rooms and their architectural flow.
Step 3: Securing the Date (Booking)
Once we’ve agreed on the scope, I’ll send over a digital proposal. To officially put your project on the calendar, you’ll sign the Photography Service Agreement and pay the Creative Fee. This secures your date and allows us to begin the pre-production process.
Step 4: Collaborative Planning (Pre-Production)
About a week before the shoot, we’ll finalize our "Shot List" if it wasn’t reviewed beforehand. We’ll discuss the "Hero" angles you need and any specific vignettes (like a close-up of a custom cabinetry handle or the way light hits a specific marble) that you want to highlight. We also coordinate logistics like site access and styling props.
Step 5: The Session (Shoot Day)
This is where the magic happens. We work together on-site, moving with intention. I use a combination of natural light and professional strobes to "build" each frame. Because we’ve scoped the project by space rather than by the hour, we have the freedom to wait for the perfect light or adjust a chair by half an inch until it feels just right.
Step 6: Curation (Proofing)
Within 7-10 days of the shoot, you’ll receive a private Proofing Gallery. These are lightly edited previews of all the successful frames from our day.
Step 7: The Final Gallery (Delivery)
The artisanal post-production begins. I hand-retouch each image—managing color balance, removing distractions, and perfecting the "glow" of the space. Your final, high-resolution gallery is delivered within 20–30 business days, ready for your portfolio, social media, and press submissions.
